Creek Indian Nation

Preface
This site will attempt to try and gather information for the entire Frank D. Jacobs' Creek Indian family descendants. This will be a central location where anyone that wants to help trace this genealogy, can. This will be a difficult task due to the fact that before the 'Trail of Tears' all Indians in our families had only one name. We are going to make an attempt to put all of this together. There is a questionnaire or form that any relative is encouraged to fill out. Please try and fill out all the fields in this form. The more complete the form is, the better this will aid all of us in helping trace our roots.

Photographs
For the time being, we will be showing photographs in different categories. Most recent photos will show up in the photo directories for now. This area also contains photographs taken at the last family reunion. Later, all the photographs will be collected into different documents that will reveal a little more information about the families and their histories.

We will also have a locations directory where different places from all time frames of history can be viewed by the family.

Site Cosmetics
The cosmetics of this site will continue to change as we acquire more Indian related data. If any of you have scanners or any way to turn these photographs into a digital format please let me know. This will take all of us to track this information down. You can contact me at the e-mail address below. For any additional information you can contact the chairman, Sam Jacobs Taylor, at 936-632-5091 or e-mail him at janet.staylor@inu.net.

Hopefully with all of us involved, we can try and track down this information and have this single source of putting this all together. Thanks for your time and patience.

Any family members needing or wishing to have a creeks.org e-mail address, just let me know. You can e-mail me and I'll set one up for you.

Thanks... Sammy

The feedback for the site has really been helpful. I know a lot of you have either mailed in or e-mailed data for the site. I will get around to posting the data as soon as I can. It's been kind of busy around here lately, so please be patient. The data you send in was usually worked up on a computer. It would be very helpful to get the files sent as an e-mail attachment rather than trying to scan or type all this data in. The files probably started out as computer files to begin with.   So please send in your attachments.

Thanks.
